My Privacy Statement

I promise that I will not share or disclose any information about you with anyone else unless required by law to do so.

I will not ask you for financial information such as bank account, credit or debit cards details.  You should never respond to any requests for information that you might receive online unless you definitely know them to be genuine but never send financial or personal details by email regardless of authenticity - always use a secure website or deal with a real person.

If a financial transaction should be necessary, it will be discussed with you directly and no information will be kept on record once the transaction has cleared.  Normally any financial transactions through me will be carried out either by direct bank transfer by or to you, or through PayPal which is a secure and reputable money broker for dealing with credit and debit card transactions.  Receipts are always given without exception and this avoids me or anyone associated knowing your details.

I recommend opening a personal PayPal account if you buy or sell online but you can still use it for other things.  Many traders in the high street now accept payment via PayPal and you can use your email address or mobile phone to send or receive payments from anywhere in the world.  Visit the website and see what they can offer you.

Notes about Online Security

Just a note about online security, whenever you carry out financial transactions or divulge personal information online, always ensure that you see the proper security tags. The website address in the address bar of your browser will show https:// at the start instead of http:// with the 'S' indicating a 'secure' website page.  However there should be a security certificate as follows.

There should be a padlock symbol on the bottom right of your screen indicating that the site is secure - click on it to read the security certificate for that particular website. If there is not, you should not carry on with the transaction and you should report the website to your bank or card issuer.  The best policy is - if in doubt don't give out any information.  If you have any other questions regarding online privacy or security, email me any time - stay safe online.
